| If you're free, check out the Audio section (I don't know if you've noticed it - it's somewhere at the top) I've somehow managed to upload this recent composition of mine. It's not complete, and the recording is very blur, but I'd appreciate it if you'd take a listen and tell me what you think. :) | | |
| Hey everyone! So, for some reason, the topic of What are you going to do after SPM? has been going around quite a bit among a lot of us in school, and I gotta admit, even I'm starting to think about it. Somehow, my main interest seems to fall into the Music side, but I'm going to need to find out about the different kinds of things I can do in Music and then see what I really want to do. There's really so much I can dream about, but I'm going to have to see what suits my interest best. Dad tells me to do a Double Degree, which could be Music + something else. That is, after I do my A Levels. Hmmmm... Anyway, just a random thought I decided to put up here. Much to think about I recently just went for a Survival Camp, which was held in Langkawi. It was my first real camp and to be honest, it was tough la. very challenging. I was all about wanting to pack up and leave on the first night, but forced myself to go through with it. It was a new experience, something you can look back and be proud of. I mean, you're stuck with 21 people you absolutely do not know, and probably may never see again, for 5 days. You don't shower, you sleep on mats, with the possibility of ants and mosquitoes biting you in the middle of the night, you wake up at 5am to cook breakfast and lunch, you wash the dishes, you dig holes to pee, and basically throughout the whole camp, it's hard work. They teach you to take initiative in doing things and working as a team so that you're punctual for your activities. Haha, but my group was probably one of the lazier ones. But, oh well It ended sweet and nice, and happy, and everyone decided we had a pretty darn good time, and it was one of the more memorable trips we ever had. Will I ever go camping again? Well, sure! If I didn't have major responsibilities... And with friends and family. Yeah, that might be fun. Here is a conversation I had with my 12-year-old brother this afternoon. Me: Dave! I passed my Grade 8 piano exam! Dave: *Looks at me, with a bored look* Uh huh. *Continues his computer game* And just when I decided he's not at all interested.... Dave: Oh, the one that you were supposed to fail. Cheeky little brothers..... | | |

| WooooohoooooIt's over! Yay. : ) But I totally messed up all my scales. I had a really nice examiner though. Apparently he was the Chief of all the examiners, but according to the lady upfront, was the nicest of them all. Hehe.. Thankfully I wasn't as nervous as the times I performed my pieces in Music Makers for OTM and teachers. I don't know why, but when I'm nervous, my fingers are out of my control. But anyway, this morning I seemed to be able to breathe, lol, so it wasn't as bad as the last times I played for people. Now we just have to see if he's lenient or not, because I'm not at all confident that I'll pass. Next up event: Hartamas IU Day! By the way, if you're interested, it's on the 21st of July, this Saturday from 2pm to 6pm. It's going to be held at the TTDI Community Centre. Tickets are RM20, and it's for a good cause! We're doing this for charity. There will be performances such as, dances (hip hop, salsa, etc.), singing, bands, plays and such. It will be a fun day so come and join us! Let me know if you need more details. Dum de dum.. I shall go take a snooze now. Phew. Piano exam craze is over. Bah, violin is next month, though. I hate exams.
How do I get myself into these things? | | |
